Prosecutions of immigrants in Austin down By Steven Kreytak |

The Austin division numbers coincide with a national trend according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, a Syracuse University service that tracks federal court data, the number of illegal re-entry cases filed this year through the end of June was down 22 percent compared with the same time the year before. The 12-month moving average of the number of cases filed has been decreasing since February 2011, the service reported. |
