Justice overdue in immigration courts in N.Y.?

According to Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse - which compiles information about federal staffing, spending and enforcement activities - 242,776 immigration court cases are pending nationwide, up 6.3 percent from fivemonths ago, and up 30.4 percent from 19 months ago. New York, with 39,269 cases backlogged, is second only to California, with 60,712 cases. Texas was third with 21,276, according to the study.
