EDITORIAL Judicial backlog on immigration |
|
A recent report says the backlog of deportation and political asylum cases has gone up 23 percent in roughly the past year. The backlog statistics and analysis come from the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), a non-partisan, number- crunching group at Syracuse University. According to the TRAC data, immigration cases in Colorado have been pending an average of 450 days. That average is the seventh highest in the nation. |
