Official says Department of Justice monitoring Schene case

For as long as anyone can remember, there has been only one federal civil-rights prosecution of a police officer in the history of the U.S. Attorney's Western District of Washington, although the office has investigated hundreds of cases, according to data from Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, which gathers and analyzes data from federal law enforcement agencies.
