Federal immigration court data published by nonpartisan research group Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University in New York revealed that Texas leads the nation for cases filed, meaning that more immigrants have reported to federal authorities at the border that they planned to reside in Texas and go through legal proceedings rather than go to other states.
