The US Attorney’s office in northern Ohio issued 55 search warrants, subpoenas, and grand jury summons in the first half of this year. That’s the highest of all the 94 US federal districts.
This comes from a report by Syracuse University’s transactional records Access Clearing Clearinghouse. They actually had to sue the Department of Justice to a access federal prosecutor’s data. So Cleveland State University Law Professor Jonathan Whitmer, rich says the number is surprising, but he says, you know, one case can generate several search warrants.
