Under the Trump administration, the U.S. Department of Justice has implemented measures to speed up case processing in immigration court and at the appellate board, as the immigration court backlog stands at a staggering 1.1 million cases, according to data collected by Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse.
