Texas sanctuary cities bill could impact locals By Rick Jervis |

Between fiscal years 2014 and 2016, Texas fulfilled 35,632 of the 58,452 ICE detainer requests it received -- more than any other state, according to statistics compiled by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University. The next largest number of fulfilled detainer requests came from California, with 15,211. |
