Shale oil from South Texas overshadowed East Coast stock market wealth.
You can learn a lot about a person from their tax returns. Bloomberg recently looked at taxpayer returns across counties in the U.S., via the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, and found some interesting insights into where wealth is concentrated.
Manhattan? Silicon Valley? Those made the top 10, but some of the others may surprise you. On the county level at least, income from shale oil in South Texas overshadowed East Coast stock market wealth, the numbers reveal.
It would behoove advisors to know where the most affluent are living, as those are the most valuable prospects. Do I smell a ranch in your future?
