ICE raids expose limited transparency that comes with immigration cases
By Bertrand M. Gutiérrez

The public has a right to know who was arrested, according to Susan Long, the co-director of Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, or TRAC, which collects, researches and distributes data related to immigration cases in the United States. “You want to see whether or not the government is doing what they say they’re going to do,” Long said. “According to President Trump, he wants to get the ‘bad hombres.’ Is that what’s really happening here?”
