Calum McSwiggan Exposes A Major Problem With Youtubers As Advocates
By Sean O'Toole

ALLGOV reported in mid-2015 that “Federal data examined by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University found the Justice Department has received 270 hate-crime referrals since 2009. Out of those 270 referrals, only 29 individuals were convicted, or about 11 percent of cases. West Hollywood suffers from a couple factors that sometimes entice crooks - it's a late night party city where most people have at least some money - a on nexus of major thoroughfares that make for quick getaways. “An additional six were prosecuted but were not ultimately convicted,” according to TRAC. The reports said that prosecutors “turned down 235 out of the 270 total hate crime referrals, or 87 percent, per TRAC,” and lost nearly one-in-five of the cases they did prosecute.
