With respect to those who had received a final removal order (“post-removal order detainees”), the average length of detention subsequent to receiving the removal order was 72 days or more. Conversely,
Kevin Landy, ICE Assistant Director for the Office of Detention Policy and Planning (ODPP),stated that “[o]fficial ICE data indicates that the average length of stay in ICE detention for FY 2014 was 29.6 days.”........[Citing TRAC research].
