He’s only been in office for three years, but Rodney Gilstrap, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas-Marshall Division, is already leading the pack as the top trial court judge in the nation when it comes to closing complex cases, a recent report shows.
When looking at the top federal judges and the cases they closed between July 2013 and June 2014, the data that Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse compiled for the first time on case management trends in the federal district courts, puts Gilstrap at the top.
