By Dianne Solis

Case-by-case review An additional case-by-case review was placed on about 300,000 cases in federal immigration courts. Only about 19,000 of those cases have been closed and granted such judicial discretion through April 30, according to a Syracuse University-based research project known as the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse. The clearinghouse gathers government information at a variety of federal agency targets. Los Angeles and San Francisco led the nation in the number of closures, but Dallas had only 250 closures.
