Throughout the past decade the FBI office in Massachusetts has suffered numerous high-profile scandals and blunders. But how do these isolated incidents impact the Bureau's overall performance in that district? Using TRAC data, Boston Globe reporter Ralph Ranalli revealed a downward trend over the last decade that has left the beleaguered Boston FBI office among the least active for referrals and least successful for convictions of all FBI offices in the nation. Ranalli's piece prompted calls from area elected officials for further investigation and more stringent oversight of the Boston FBI office
