TRAC-Reports
New edition of TRAC's IRS Web Site
(12 Apr 2007) New edition of TRAC's IRS Web Site, released April 12, 2007, finds that revenue agents are spending more and more time conducting face-to-face corporate audits that produce no revenue. But the IRS data analyzed by TRAC also discovered that the targeting of the agency's correspondence audits for individuals is improving. The new report is based on partial administrative data obtained under the Freedom of Information Act as a result of court orders. Although this information provides valuable insights into the IRS, the agency is still not fully complying with the rulings against it. See new findings and graphical highlights.
