New edition of our IRS
Web Site was released Monday, April 12, 2004.
The IRS Lags in Business Enforcement.
Audits for businesses,
corporations, largest corporations and "passthrough entities"
like partnerships are all significantly down. Justice Department and
court data document that criminal tax fraud prosecutions also continue to
slide. The data show the actual performance of the IRS in regard to
businesses differs in significant ways from some Bush Administration
claims when it comes to cracking down on corporate scofflaws. See new findings and overview.
