How Federal Judges Stack Up
(04 Feb 2003) How Federal Judges Stack Up: A central goal of all courts is to assure that similarly situated defendants are treated in similar ways. A summary report of a large group of federal judges responsible for sentencing four out of five of all federal defendants raises questions about how well this goal is being achieved. For complete data on the offical performance of most U.S. Federal Court judges, see the Judges tool on our TRACFED site, now updated through the end of FY 2002 (available February 4, 2003).
