Thanks to generous support from the CS Fund/Warsh-Mott Legacy, the FOIA Project has been able to expand FOIA lawsuit coverage to include many Court of Appeals cases filed or closed since the start of fiscal year 2001 (October 1, 2000).
The archive currently includes over 800 docket reports on cases for which the nature of suit was classified by the federal appeals courts as Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Case data were obtained from the U.S. Courts via the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) system.
In addition to docket reports, the archive has also added approximately 240 appellate opinions and orders for such cases obtained from the various circuit courts.
