Federal Prosecution Data for September 2010 Released
(20 Jan 2011) Federal criminal prosecutions totaled 13,916 for the month of September according to the most recent data released by the Department of Justice. This figure is up 6 percent from the previous month, and is down less than one percent from a year ago.

TRAC offers free reports on program categories such as immigration, drugs and white collar crime as well as reports on the enforcement activities of selected government agencies such as the DHS, FBI, DEA and IRS. This release includes a substantial expansion in the number of lead charges on which individual reports and analyses have been developed. TRAC's U.S. Code section, for example, has expanded to 453 lead charges that resulted in prosecutions or convictions in fiscal year 2010:
