| Major Update to Federal Judges |

TRAC has just completed a major update to its information about
Federal Judges.
Through a multi-year research project, additional data have been gathered from numerous data bases as well as from telephone calls
to individual districts and district courts.
With the supplemental information, we have been able to more fully identify
magistrate judges working in district courts and to identify many judges previously listed as unknown.
TRAC's judge-by-judge information is now current for criminal cases through the end of the first six months of FY 2005 (March 31),
with case listings available dating back to 1986, sentencing information back to 1992, and enhanced identification back to 1998.
