Koreans Tangled in US Immigration Court Cases on Rise

Currently, 1,494 cases involving Korean immigrants are awaiting a hearing in federal immigration courts, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), a nonpartisan research group at Syracuse University. According to TRAC, California had the highest number of pending cases involving Koreans with 542 awaiting a hearing, followed by New York with 200 cases, Virginia with 127 and New Jersey with 100.
