The Morgan-Trostle et al.(2016) research study further provided a descriptive statistical analysis of Black immigrants in the US. The study utilized data from the American Community Survey (ACS), 2014 Yearbook of Immigration Statistics published by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as well as immigration data on the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) website developed by Syracuse University. One year of the ACS data allowed the researchers to collect specific information from immigrants regarding their level of education, poverty rate, citizenship status, place of birth, and geographic location......[Citing TRAC data and research].
