ICE Age: Local advocacy groups bracing for raids on undocumented immigrants
By Max Marin

The Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), which files Freedom of Information Act requests to obtain immigration records from the Department of Homeland Security, has built one of the only databases on the issue. Between 2003 and 2016, about 5,087 persons were deported from Philadelphia International Airport, TRAC records show. Sorted by apprehension method, more than a quarter of these individuals were detained at the airport itself by Customs and Border Patrol officers or another port security agent, while 3,690 people were detained from the region at large.
