Senator Cornyn referred to TRAC's report documenting increasing FOIA litigation under the Obama administration. And both he and Senator Grassley questioned DOJ Head Melanie Pustay and Miriam Nisbet,Director of the Office of Government Information Services and pointed out the unnecessary cost when litigation occurs and asked what could be done to reduce the need for litigation.
